The stories my shoulder could tell...

A number of years ago, I didn't pay attention to what my mother said, and I ended up breaking my humerus. No, it wasn't funny, it was actually quite painful. As a result of the multiple weeks of being immobilized, my shoulder lost some of it's range of mobility. Basically - it hurts.

D. and I moved a fortnight ago. The number of flat boxes now surpasses the number of boxes that are full (and heavy) - this also means that the number of Ben-Gay patches applied to my shoulder is now greater than zero (Aisha, our cat - hates [hates!] the smell).

No, this posting is not to get you to feel sorry for me - it's so I can brag. This weekend, while D. was away (he was running a half marathon back home - that is material for another post - one I'll write when he's not sitting next to me and pretending he's not reading my screen) - the Sears people delivered our washer and dryer (yay!). The only problem - our dryer couldn't be connected to the vent - technical difficulties. Ten dollars' worth of materials (I love Home Depot) later, I was trying to balance myself - one knee on the water heater, the other on the washing machine (do NOT try this at home) - whilst trying to fit the exhaust tube to the dryer.

Mission accomplished.

That first load of laundry was probably the only one I've actually been proud of.
