Where I was last week

I was in a very warm place ( if you consider the wind chill, it was one hundred [yes, you read that right... 100] degrees warmer there than it is here) . D and I flew to Mexico for a wedding, and met with the rest of my family there... we were in Acapulco for five days and then flew back. It was bliss.

To me it is still very interesting (and somewhat stressful) to travel with both my family and D. at the same time. In this particular instance, the former had not been back home since they left (five years ago), so we ended up doing a lot of things 'for old times' sake'. It's amazing how easy you forget the little things that make being home as much fun as it really is.

Sometimes I wonder how D. manages to survive being a part of this family... Speaking of suvival, he had a close encounter with a stingray. Truth be told, he must have stepped on it, since rays are famous for being very easy going animals. We spent a couple of hours with the doctor, and he seems to be doing better now. His foot is still swollen (and it will probably be a couple of weeks before the swelling completely disappears).

So, back here in the North Pole I am back at work and ready for a new semester in school... we shall see. I had a lot of time to think about things when we were back home, and now I have to make some tough decisions. Needless to say, my sleep is still not where it should be.

namaste,

I. Am. Insanely. Jealous.

And what decisions are you mulling over? Share, girl (if not on your blog then at least via email -- write me!).... :)
